The Stories We Tell Ourselves
Using Enneagram Language to Wake Us Up
Available spots
Service Description
Language shapes how we see ourselves and each other. The Enneagram gives us powerful words to name our patterns, but sometimes those same words become cages we lock ourselves, and others, into. That’s why the saying goes: “The Enneagram doesn’t put you in a box; it shows you the box you’re already in.” When we cling too tightly to our type, to the stories we have told ourselves or even to some of our growth experiences, the Enneagram can become a tool that keeps us stuck rather than an invitation for transformation. In this 90-minute interactive workshop, we’ll explore the three phases of waking up through the language of the Enneagram: - AWARENESS – recognizing where Enneagram language shows up in our life experiences. - ACCEPTANCE – understanding how we’ve clung to stories and language for safety or control. - EXPANSION – learning to hold all of these aspects without judgement and allowing our true selves to arise. This workshop will include a mix of: - Guided teaching and meditation - Small and large group sharing - Repeated-question and monologue practices Join Tamara Kroeker in exploring Enneagram language through the lens of the Law of Three - passive, active and reconciling forces at work. When we are able to hold all the ways we have used language to accept and reject different parts of our personalities, our true selves arise. The transformation of the Enneagram means allowing all things to find their place without force or judgement. *All proceeds of this workshop will go towards the startup costs for Enneagram Canada. Enneagram Canada is an official IEA Affiliate, incorporated federally and working towards onboarding association members in the next few weeks - more info to come! *This is a virtual workshop held on zoom on Saturday, July 12 at 12pm CT. It will not be recorded. *French language translation will not be available for this event. Please contact info@enneagramaware.ca if you have comments, questions or suggestions for including translation for future events.
